It was indeed a Night of Raider Pride!

Last Friday night found a hearty crowd willing to brave the rainy skies to come out and support their Raider Football team.

The evening was kicked off with a spectacular celebration -- Raider Pride Night -- filled with fantastic food, games and more blue & orange clad spirit leaders than you could shake a stick at (not that you'd want to). Good fun was had by all!

Then, with full bellies and the Raider fight song spinning in their minds, the Harrison fans streamed into AJ Rickard Stadium (wonderfully decked out with Senior Banners once again this year!) to witness the match up against the Bronchos from Lafayette Jefferson.

To say the game went the Raider's way, well, would be an understatement! Outstanding passes followed by fantastic grabs, quick-cutting runs and tons of down low blocks and tackles would mean that the Raiders would begin accumulating points early and often.

Here #2 Coty Padilla prepares to snag one in the air and will take it all the way for the score (see "Anatomy of a Raider Touchdown" below for the rest of the story!)

What would a touchdown be without a celebratory bump after?

Smiling faces could be seen beneath many orange helmets throughout the evening -- here Coach Beth Brown captured a wide grin on Coty Padilla's face!

The fans were having as much fun in the stands as the team was on the field. Raider Up!

In a matter of a few minutes, visibility became quite a challenge (even our stellar announcer had to resort to comments like, "Well, it looks like a Raider tackled a Broncho")

But even the changing weather couldn't damped Raider spirits

Who would have ever believed that football could have such a etherial feel to it?

CONGRATULATIONS, RAIDERS!
