A tribute to Coach Flowers
Before we completely move on from the Fall sports season (okay, well we have, but let's go back for a moment), we just wanted to share a wonderful video made in tribute to Football Coach Jeromy Flowers. Coach Flowers is a man who has had a wonderful impact here at Harrison, both on and off the field.

Raider Vie for Sectional Title!
The Raiders Gridiron boys have had a season to be proud of so far. Now the post-season is underway -- so far Harrison has posted two victories in sectional action. Week number one saw the Raiders defeat the McCutcheon Mavericks. Week two found the Raiders traveling to Kokomo to face the number 8 ranked Wildcats. It was upset time!! The Harrison Raiders topped the Wildcats 23-20!
Now it's on to the sectional championship game tonight versus the defending state champion Carmel Greyhounds.
Go get 'em, Raiders! Raider Fight Never Dies!!

Raiders keep the Sword
If you allowed the rain clouds to keep you away from A.J. Rickard field on Friday night, you missed out! First, the stadium was decked out in orange & blue using several different means, but most notable were the incredible banners created by Michelle Lutz (senior FN Lutz's sister) each a caricature of a senior player. AWESOME!
The stands were full--parents doning Raider gear, students painted head to toe--and the team was fired up. The game proved to be a mostly defensive battle with huge plays made by FN Lutz, Chase Ritter, & Matt Schwartz. Bowdie Linsenmeyer continues to tear up the field rushing--he now holds the school rushing record (and only half way through his junior season).
In the end, the Sword will stay were it belongs--in the halls of Harrison--as they Raiders were victorious 10-6!
Volleyball hot
Yes, it is fall sports season at Harrison but all the fabulous action is happening outside--inside things are heating up on the volleyball court. The Lady Raiders are having a fantastic season so far. Harrison volleyball is 9-4 beating Benton Central, Westfield (what a match!), Kokomo, Lafayette Jefferson, Clinton Prarie, and McCutcheon. The only HCC conference loss so far has been to #3 ranked Avon in a five game barn burner (25-23, 14-25, 25-20, 15-25, 16-18)
Here's a little bit of the action on court last week with the Raiders at McCutcheon:

Harrison v. Lafayette Jeff (football)
Well, the first half of the game was all a Raider fan could ask for and they headed into the locker room with a lead. Unfortunately for the Harrison team, Desmond Lake of Jeff had the game of his life (5 touchdowns!) and the Raiders came up short 30-37.
Still, lots of great action on the field!
